Metroid Prime 3: Corruption - boss fight: Rundas

BOSS FIGHT #3: Rundas
Difficulty: Normal

Strategy:
Fire your blaster at Rundas repeatedly until he becomes stunned, you will see little glowing balls of light infront of his face when he’s stunned. Now fire your Grapple Beam and rip off his protective armor. Once his armor has been ripped off, go into Hyper Mode and unload on him as fast as possible. You might have to repeat the process a couple times, but he dies relatively quickly.

The best way to avoid taking damage in this fight is to constantly be strafing left or right. If he manages to freeze you, tab B repeatedly to break free. When he fires the large chunks of ice at you, fire your blaster at them to destroy them. They will often have power-ups inside of them as well.

It is believed that Rundas did it because he didn’t want to be a slave of Dark Samus, or he was killed by Dark Samus because he was beaten & D.S. had no use for a weak hunter.

, it didn’t even occur to me to use Hyper Mode. I just used my regular gun, and it took bloody forever. Whoops.

Still pretty easy, though.

He´s not extremely …
He´s not extremely hard. Just shoot at him until he gets stunned. Then, go into Hypermode BEFORE you use the Grapple Beam. And start shooting like crazy.
When he “flies”, keep moving to avoid its ice shots. When he uses his three freezing shots, target him and jump to the left(or right, you choose).
If he uses the giant piece of ice , just try to move as fast as you can before he throws it at you.
Oh, and if you need energy, shoot at his iceballs attack, like at 1:31

What the heck! When I try to beat him when he flyies upwards he runs into the Big thing in the middle and he doesnt come out. What do I do! I cant beat him this way! I have to die to restart!

yeah, in MP3, dark …
yeah, in MP3, dark samus can now make clones of herself called “Dark Echoes”. 1 way to tell them apart is to check their visors. dark samus is blue, the echoes r black. another way is to use the x-ray visor. dark samus takes little damage from hypermode attacks, but when she loses a good amount of health, she’ll call out Dark Echoes to ist her in battle. sometimes, she’ll even absorb them to replenish her energy.

watch out for …
watch out for hypermode difficulty. it’s murder. and trust me when i say that dark samus is a on that level. because of her dark echoes, i couldn’t defeat AU 313!

I got a Wii and …
I got a Wii and this game on Saturday. Awesome game. I battled Rundas today. Pretty easy, but still awesome. The music is very cool. I felt bad for Rundas
My game is on the lowest difficulty mode, so maybe that´s why it took me less than 2 minutes to defeat Rundas xD
When I complete my current game, I´ll try with a harder dificulty.

My stratigety: Fire him until he gets stunned, then go into hypermode BEFORE ripping off his armor, then go into hypermode and attack him BUT DO NOT DEPLETE THIS BAR! Wait until you corrupt but DO NOT DEPLETE THIS ONE EITHER OR LET IT REACH THE TOP! He should die in a few seconds. I killed him in less than 30 seconds which is probably the fastest run around!

so sad that the bounty hunters had to die. none of this would’ve happened if samus hadn’t went on tallon IV! >:O samus made dark samus and it’s the GF’s that they placed the phazon into a weapon >:O lol jk, it’s only a game though; a great game! =D

It was so sad how …
It was so sad how Rundas, Ghor, And Gandraya died. They had enough humanity left in them too beg for samus to save them. But no matter what samus did she just couldn’t save them from dark samus. I bet this scarred samus’ already badly scarred physce even further. Every time she can’t save someone it hurts her mentaly.
