I am a Moroccan lady, resident and working in UAE for more than 4 years, i have been seeing an Egyptian man, and the story become to serious relationship, Now he lost his job because of the crises and returned to Cairo. at present he works for a company there as HR executive, and here i am working at a petroliume company which gives a good salary ![]()
The problem now that he is asking me to go to Egypt for marriage….honestly i do want to , but i am still afraid to live there as everybody knows it is a ccountry where there is a high percentage of poor conditions and life style.
My boyfriend has a flat at zayed city but wailing to change it if we will need to.
Please any one can tell me how is the siuation in Cairo, and how an expat can live there and make sure that he gets all his rights while living there.
just for your info, we are both muslim but open mind…
and what i earn here i am 100% sure i wont have it there !!
I have been there before for vacation,
What i disliked was people mentalities and the look that raise into there eyes when they see a non covered lady wearing normal dresses.
Get ready for a serious downgrade as far as your living conditions. The UAE is very wealthy nation from what I understand. Egypt would be a good place for a vacation, but not sure you would be happy there after living in the UAE. Why don’t you go there for a visit and see if you like it first. That would be my suggestion. Don’t commit till you know exactly what your living situation will be.

It’s a lot like your own country Morocco, not many differences. Zayed City is a very rich place so I think you’ll be alright
