I’m a newly trained medical biller and coder. I took the course at my local junior college. I’ve also done 60 hours of intern at a local doctors office. Where can I find legitimate work from home jobs on the net? I would appreciate any help, suggestions or websites. Please no rude answers, thank you.

Unfortunately there isn’t. You should try looking outside the home if you want something that will pay decent.

A friend was told by his doctor to take a few weeks off work. Now his boss is firing him for missing so much work. Unfortunately, the doctor has no idea what my friend has.
Also, this triggered a similar question; my mother and I were debating about this - she says that even if a person is practically on their death bed, his boss has the legal right to fire him for missing work, and the employee can’t do anything about it. That can’t be right, though, can it? Is my mom right?

It all depends. If a company has over 50 employees and the employee has worked there for over 12 months, they would be eligible for Family Medical Leave. This is unpaid but provides for job protection for 12 weeks.
If the company is 49 or less employees, there is no requirement for a company to keep the person employed.

It’s unfortunate but absenteeism costs companies a lot of money. If the employee is not there to do their job, the job usually doesn’t get done.

I recently moved to Pensacola, FL, and I’m 8 months pregnant, planning to be a stay at home mom. I’m looking for a way to bring more income into our home, so we’re not living paycheck to paycheck off of my husband’s E1 military budget. It seems like every "scam free" work from home online program I’ve looked into requires that you pay money to start, which indicates to me that it’s a scam. Does anyone have any ideas?

http://safesurveysites.com Its what I do and it’s worked out pretty well. What you have to do is complete surveys and offers for companies that want the public’s opinion. No payment from you is ever required, not to sign up, not EVER.

The sites don’t get paid directly from you, but when you complete an offer or survey, they also get paid a small portion of what you earned yourself. For example, if you complete a survey about computers let’s say, you would earn maybe $2 and the web site itself would recieve $0.50 from the company also for getting you to complete the survey. These surveys take little time at all, most taking up less than even 1 or 2 minutes of your time.

They don’t need any information other than your name, email address and your home address. Yup, that is all. No credit card information, no banking information, nothing like that. All they require is your name and address so that your cheque can be sent to your home every month.

Personally I have been a member of these websites, along with thousands of other satisfied users, for approximately 1.5 years now and have earned well over $8600 by working in my spare time. This web site has been great to me, also the members and administrator are very friendly, and are always there to help you with a question or problem you may be having. I give you my word that they pay.

Looking to do some work from home to earn some extra money. Would be great to hear from some people that have success with this.

"If a company requires initial payment from you in order to work for them, they are not legitimate."

There are a few legitimate data entry companies but are not hiring and have large waiting lists (1-2yrs). The majority of data entry jobs you seen online are scams. A real company will want you to have skills inc fast typing, may want you to know MS Excel, and will usually ask that you have high speed internet. Once in a long while you may found one online on a job website but thats rare.

If you do an advanced search on yahoo, you will find previous answers, sometimes the info on these is good as the info they gave is likely to have been verified if the answer was voted as ‘Best’.

Pessimistic, bullheaded, antisocial, unloveable, lazy, (possibly a) suicidal depressive; what worst player for this Game of Life can be found?

Recently a friend of mine said something along this vein: "Life’s like a game which you must see through to the end only then can you go to Heaven and see the person(s) you want to."

This year, I lost 2 people I loved, 1 of whom I know I lived for so that I could visit on weekends. Tho this Q aint on how to cope with missing them but on how to con’t living when I so desperately want to die.

I don’t have any friends; I’m always at war with my family. To quote a Michael Jackson song, "On my own, I was lonely". Change the ‘was’ to ‘am’. I’v been feeling hopeless ever since I entered teenhood, now I just left it ~2 years ago and I’m still feeling this way. It has even intensified.

I’m studying something that I chose to enrol in (as in non-mandatory) hoping that if I graduate I can use the paper Q to earn a living. I’m almost certain I chose the wrong thing but there aint no more looking back considering the $ and sacrifices I already made, and I don’t see any other alternative further studies I can go for. Going to school saps my energy cos I don’t understand what’s going on, cos I’m all alone n have no inclination to make friends there (as far as I can see 90% are foreigners with extremely poor Eng : lang. barrier) except locals but they alr have their own groups and I see myself going through another few years (at least) of emptiness, of loneliness. The only friends I have are my online friends who are few and far between and anyways I have restricted internet access (both personal- and mum-set)

I look at my notes everyday (haven’t even started studying - not ‘revising’. ’studying’ - for my 1st exam which’s in 2weeks’ time) and I give up. I look at my empty house and wonder what I should do; I give up and gorge on food while reading books (used to be a hobby, now it just feels empty) w/o my mind on them.

It’s all so bleak and hopeless. My bank’s empty I’m at the mercy of mu mum ..monetarily, activity-wise and no I can’t find a job when I can’t even keep myself going studies-wise. I drag myself to school and try to be happy try to make friends but I have no mood to.

Last night I was listening to some music and crying myself to sleep (trying to, sleep, at least). I looked out my window into the emptiness and it seems so real, I saw an image of myself standing on the window ledge and looking down.

I float around aimlessly everyday and feel so guilty doing nothing I open my notes but can’t focus. I’m so happy to have an empty hose cos the means no war. However it makes me feel so empty.

Why am I so hopeless what does life mean anyway I cant even do things a normal human does. I desperately want to go back to normal that’s why I wrote an essay here. But I fear im too far off-tangent and im too proud to say I need help (offline) it always feels my hearts a stress ball in use.
thank you Jessicarr =)
@JbAchoo: I’m quit Christianity when I was in my teens cos it made it even more painful when I prayed and didn’t get what I needed. I couldn’t get the faith even though I tried very hard.

School and adolescence is hard,
everyone has been there, even though they may not have found it as hard as you.
but everyday is a new day, think about having a fresh mind, and start getting every thing straight.
You could try getting on with your home life, and making peace with your family otherwise life is going to be difficult everywhere you go, you need to change it.

Yes, its hard to make friends, but just find a common interest with someone, or go to clubs and make friends there?
but just think, right now isn’t everything, you still have the rest of your life which can be changed; thats if you want to, you can but you have to be determined.
your an mj fam too see were here :) :)

I am a Moroccan lady, resident and working in UAE for more than 4 years, i have been seeing an Egyptian man, and the story become to serious relationship, Now he lost his job because of the crises and returned to Cairo. at present he works for a company there as HR executive, and here i am working at a petroliume company which gives a good salary :)
The problem now that he is asking me to go to Egypt for marriage….honestly i do want to , but i am still afraid to live there as everybody knows it is a ccountry where there is a high percentage of poor conditions and life style.
My boyfriend has a flat at zayed city but wailing to change it if we will need to.
Please any one can tell me how is the siuation in Cairo, and how an expat can live there and make sure that he gets all his rights while living there.
just for your info, we are both muslim but open mind…
and what i earn here i am 100% sure i wont have it there !!
I have been there before for vacation,
What i disliked was people mentalities and the look that raise into there eyes when they see a non covered lady wearing normal dresses.

Get ready for a serious downgrade as far as your living conditions. The UAE is very wealthy nation from what I understand. Egypt would be a good place for a vacation, but not sure you would be happy there after living in the UAE. Why don’t you go there for a visit and see if you like it first. That would be my suggestion. Don’t commit till you know exactly what your living situation will be.
